Audi came away with eight awards at the What Car? Car of the Year Awards 2021, including two for the all-electric e-Tron.

The e-Tron wins two awards for comfort for both the E-Tron 50 Technik and E-Tron Sportback. The ability of the e-Tron to move around in near silence the e-Tron, because it generates next to no wind or road noise, it should be right at the top of your list. The e-Tron has supportive, fully electric seats with memory function and interior is spacious and well-built.

Audi has a reputation for building some of the finest car interiors going, with both the Q2 and Q5 upholding that reputation. The Q2’s dashboard has a brilliantly, logical and intuitive layout with one of the best infotainment systems around. It also has a great driving position as well as partial electric seat adjustment and adjustable lumbar support. It gives the impression you are in a premium SUV just executed on a smaller scale.

The Q5 recently received a facelift with its biggest strength being its interior quality. The materials look and feel great but it’s the details which really set it apart. The crisp graphics of the infotainment screen reinforce the sense of quality.

A luxury car needs high quality materials, a comfortable ride and super smooth engine, something which Audi does well. The Q7 has air suspension as standard making it one of the most relaxing and comfortable cars to drive around in. Comfort also means quiet and the 3.0 litre V6 diesel engine is smooth, punchy and efficient but also hushed at a cruise.

The S8 is an indulgent car, it may be 5.2 metres long yet will do 0-62mph in 3.8sec. It has some of the most advanced driver aids available, not to mention an immaculate interior with two huge high- definition touchscreens for infotainment and most of the minor controls, plus 22-way electrically adjustable sports seats in diamond-stitched leather.
