Workshop Controller

Heritage Volkswagen Yeovil is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to support the Aftersales Manager in the efficient day-to-day operation of our Service workshop.

The Role

You will oversee workshop workflow, allocate work to technicians, and monitor productivity to ensure all service and repair work meets Volkswagen quality standards. You’ll play a key role in maintaining efficiency, safety and outstanding customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Allocate and control workshop jobs to maximise productivity
• Monitor job progress and communicate updates to the Service team
• Carry out quality checks and oversee final vehicle inspections
• Control labour, consumables and equipment usage
• Ensure compliance with Volkswagen, Health & Safety and warranty procedures
• Support the development and performance of workshop staff
• Maintain a clean, safe and professional workshop

About You

• Experience as a Technician or Service Advisor
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Customer-focused and IT literate
• Full UK driving licence
